WHYTRY Program

A New Direction for Students

Butler County has adopted the WhyTry Program for students. This FREE program helps to answer the question “why should I try in school”? WhyTry uses a series of ten visual metaphors to teach vital social, emotional, and leadership principles. The program's unique multi-sensory approach caters to every learning type. Over 2 million students have participated in this program.

*Parent’s must be enrolled in Parent Project in order for their child to participate in the WhyTry program. The program will run on the same nights and at the same time as The Parent Project®.

This program has produced favorable outcomes in such areas as:
  • Increased GPA
  • Increased Graduation Rate
  • Reduction in Disruptive Behavior
  • Improved Self-Concept & Emotional Health
  • Increased Resilience
  • The program will run on the same nights and at the same time as The Parent Project®.
