Support Pause

Pause is a grassroots, community initiative that was created to provide parents and other full-time caregivers of children with special needs a break.  Currently in its third year of programming, Pause has gained huge momentum in the community, with family enrollment growing over 900% in the first 2 years.

Volunteers are the backbone to our program!  Pause is a great opportunity for a business, sports team, church group, or any other civic-minded group to serve their community. Caregivers can spend up to 35-40 extra hours a week caring for a child with complex needs.  Giving these caregivers time to exhale and refill their bucket is critical. Find out more on our Volunteer page.

Pause has several intern positions available each year! Positions include Pause Family Facilitator, Pause Family Coordinator, Pause Volunteer Coordinator and Pause Support Coordinator. Our interns have an integral part in our Pause leadership staff! Contact us for more information!

Event Supplies - At most events, craft projects, games and activities are provided. We welcome paper goods, water bottles, juice boxes, craft supplies and games to stock the closets of each location - this is particularly important as we look to open new locations. Gift cards for groceries, take-out and gas stations are always a blessing for our families whose children are in the hospital or having a difficult time. Gift cards can be mailed/dropped off to the Pause office or any of our Parent’s Night Out events.

Food – Pause is always looking to partner with restaurants and businesses for donations of kid-friendly meals for our events. We have several levels of commitment with coordinating exposure on our Facebook page, website and/or printed Pause marketing and promotional materials.

Monetary donations are ALWAYS appreciated!
There are two ways to donate financially to the Pause Program to help provide food, supplies or tangible needs of our families.

1. Mail a Check – Check donations are tax deductible and should be made payable to Good Life Networks (Pause Fiscal Agent). Please send to the following address:

Our goal is to have at least one Parent's Night Out event every month in each region of Butler County. This means we need locations willing to host these events! If you have a business or are involved in a faith organization that would be willing to provide space for a Pause event, please contact us.
